Classroom Unit Ventilator Replacements 2024

Background
The Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy is seeking proposals for the Classroom Unit Ventilator Replacements 2024 project. The Academy's mission is to provide quality education and a conducive learning environment, which includes ensuring proper heating and ventilation in classrooms. This contract aims to replace outdated unit ventilators to enhance air quality and comfort for students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of three existing unit ventilators located in classrooms #1007, #1009, and #1011. The contractor will furnish and install three new horizontal unit ventilators (Model# 40UVF3P1FFB213J0J1BJCAAAA1H) in the specified classrooms. Installation must include all necessary components and connections, including electrical and plumbing work.

Specific tasks include:
1. Complete removal of existing units, which are to be salvaged as per the owner's request before disposal.
2. Installation of new units with solid end panels, front access panels, a sub-base with front return and rear outside air opening, a three-speed ECM motor, hot water coil with modulating control valve, unions for pressure/temperature taps, ball valves, circuit setter, and cold weather damper assembly.
3. Modifications to existing outside air openings, piping, and electrical systems as needed.
4. Compliance with all applicable safety regulations (MIOSHA), building codes, and obtaining necessary permits.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence no later than seven days after the issuance of a notice to proceed and must be completed by December 31st, 2024.

The work will be performed at the Mid-Michigan Leadership Academy located at 730 W Maple St, Lansing, MI 48906.
