Asbestos remediation Minges Brook Elementary

Background
The Lakeview School District is issuing this contract for the asbestos remediation project at Minges Brook Elementary School, located at 435 Lincoln Hill Dr., Battle Creek, MI 49015.
The goal of the contract is to ensure safe and compliant removal of asbestos materials as part of a classroom renovation project.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, miscellaneous materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the asbestos remediation project.
Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning existing ceiling lights during drop ceiling removal.
- Temporarily hanging them in place after the drop ceiling tile and track system is removed.
- Reusing these lights in the new ceiling system.

Additionally, any technology items mounted to the drop ceiling tile will be disconnected and removed by others.
The project also requires third-party air monitoring during the abatement process, which includes personal air samples, area samples, and clearance air samples.

Period of Performance
The abatement project is scheduled to start on June 16, 2025.
