Background
The Bay Port Boating Access Site project is initiated by the State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget, specifically under the State Facilities Administration and Design and Construction Division.
The project's goal is to enhance the accessibility and safety of the boating access site through various paving and site improvements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes pavement removal and patching, construction of an ADA-compliant path to an existing vault toilet and dock, culvert replacement, installation of pavement markings, and signage.
Specific tasks include:
1) Mobilization;
2) Bonding (2%);
3) Insurance (0.44%);
4) Cleanup;
5) Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (SESC) measures;
6) MDOT Heavy-duty Rip Rap with Geotextile Fabric (40 SYDS);
7) Replacement of an existing 12" CMP culvert with RCP culvert including rodent grates (approx. 56 LF);
8) Installation of bollards (8 total, with 2 removable);
9) Sawcutting and removal of existing bituminous pavement (full-depth, approx. 2,252 SYDS);
10) MDOT 21AA crushed limestone for patch areas if pavement depth exceeds 4" (100 CYDS);
11) Installation of a 4" bituminous surface in two lifts (approx. 2,252 SYDS);
12) Signage installation (5 EA);
13) Pavement marking;
14) Construction of a gravel path (approx. 500 SF); and
15) Sealcoating the remainder of existing pavement.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within a period of 45 days from the start date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Bay Port Boating Access Site located in Bay Port, Michigan.
