Background
The Bay Port Boating Access Site project is initiated by the State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget, specifically through the State Facilities Administration's Design and Construction Division.
The project aims to enhance the accessibility and functionality of the Bay Port Boating Access Site through necessary paving and site improvements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Pavement removal and patching
- Construction of an ADA-compliant path to the existing vault toilet and dock
- Culvert replacement
- Installation of pavement markings and signs

Specific tasks outlined in the bid schedule include mobilization, bonding, insurance, cleanup, SESC measures, installation of MDOT heavy-duty rip rap with geotextile fabric, replacement of a 12" CMP culvert with RCP culvert (approximately 56 LF), installation of bollards (8 total, 2 removable), sawcutting and removing existing bituminous pavement (approximately 2,252 SYDS), providing MDOT 21AA crushed limestone for patch areas if necessary (100 CYDS), laying a 4" bituminous surface in two lifts (approximately 2,252 SYDS), installing signage (5 EA), pavement marking, constructing a gravel path (approximately 500 SF), and sealcoating the remainder of existing pavement.
An allowance amount of $15,000 is included for unforeseen costs.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 45 days from the start date.

The work will be performed at the Bay Port Boating Access Site located in Bay Port, Michigan.
