Accessible Home Attachments for Independent Living

Background
The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services, Division of Support for Brain Injuries (DHHS/OADS/DS-BI) is seeking accessible home attachments for independent living. The project aims to add ten fully accessible bedroom and bathroom suites through WheelPad, L3C, to existing homes. These attachments are universally accessible, exceeding requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, and are suitable for integrating into non-disability-specific and provider-owned homes, significantly increasing the number of accessible housing units available in Maine.
