Rfq 2025-028 - Custodial Services - Mt. Hope Community Center

Background
Calvert County Government is seeking qualified contractors to provide custodial services for the Mt. Hope Community Center located at 104 Pushaw Station Road, Sunderland, MD 20689.
The aim of this RFQ (Request for Quote) is to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and orderly manner, reflecting positively on both the County and the Contractor.
The Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for cleaning approximately 6,000 gross square feet of the Mt. Hope Community Center, which includes a gymnasium, meeting rooms, multifunction rooms, classrooms, restrooms, and office spaces.
The scope of work includes:
1. Routine nightly custodial services performed seven days a week between 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with specific hours adjusted on Fridays and Saturdays.
2. Cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring all areas are hygienic and orderly.
3. The Contractor must provide all necessary supplies except for toilet paper, paper towels, and replacement light bulbs which will be supplied by Calvert County Government.
4. A detailed cost breakdown must accompany the bid proposal including employee numbers, wage rates, supply costs, etc.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed from Calvert County Government and will continue as specified in the contract terms.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Mt. Hope Community Center located at 104 Pushaw Station Road, Sunderland, MD 20689.
