Replace Furnace- Monkton Trail Station @ Gunpowder Falls State Park

Background
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking a contractor to replace the furnace at Gunpowder Falls State Park, Monkton Trail Station located at 1820 Monkton Road, Monkton, MD 21111. The project is classified as 'Under $100,000.00'. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to replace the furnace. The scope of the project includes removing the existing HVAC system and installing a new high-efficiency heat pump, fan coil unit with heat pack, and system controls.
Additionally, the contractor must remove and dispose of the exterior fuel tank and associated piping in accordance with state and local requirements.
Minor work in the restrooms includes removal and replacement of sinks & faucets, mirrors, ceiling lights, hand dryers, and floor tile.
The contractor must ensure proper disposal of construction debris from the job site and leave it in pre-construction condition.

Period of Performance
The contract shall be for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. The work shall be scheduled through and approved by the DNR Project Engineer and Facility Manager.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Gunpowder Falls State Park, Monkton Trail Station located at 1820 Monkton Road, Monkton, MD 21111.
