Preliminary Design Services - Regency Furniture Stadium Improvements

Background
The Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) has been authorized to finance up to $200,000,000 for site acquisition and the planning, design, and construction of sports and entertainment facilities.

In collaboration with the County Commissioners of Charles County, MSA is overseeing improvements to the Regency Furniture Stadium to comply with the Professional Development League (PDL) standards adopted by Major League Baseball (MLB). This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks a qualified Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm to provide preliminary design services for these stadium improvements.

Work Details
The selected A/E firm will be responsible for providing preliminary design services that may include:
- Improvements to clubhouse and training facilities
- Installation of a synthetic playing field surface
- Bullpen relocations
- Dugout improvements
- Reconfiguration and padding of outfield walls
- Replacement of field lighting
- Replacement and extension of the fan protection netting system
- Fiber upgrades
- Establishing secured player parking
- Establishing an onsite security command post.

The contract may also include Study Design, Project Design, and Construction Administration services as determined during early design phases.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will be established based on the time necessary to complete the scope of work as agreed upon by MSA and the selected A/E firm.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at Regency Furniture Stadium located at 11765 St. Linus Dr., Waldorf, MD 20602.
