Pest Control Services at Essex-Rosedale DC/MSC

Background
The Maryland Department of General Services is issuing a solicitation for pest control services at the Essex-Rosedale District Court/Multi-Service Center. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive pest control to maintain a safe and healthy environment within the facility, which spans approximately 22,975 square feet.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, approved chemicals, and supervision necessary to control, prevent, destroy, repel or mitigate pests and rodents inside and outside the facility.

The contractor will provide monthly pest control services and will commence with an initial application within seven days of the contract start date. Specific areas to be treated include:
- All restrooms
- Kitchenette areas
- Library (Room 133)
- Vending area
- Main lobby and corridor
- Vestibules (court side)
- Closets
- Janitorial storage area (Room 136)
- Public defender front area (Room 152)
- All doors and walls outside.

Additionally, the contractor will provide thirty-five monthly follow-up applications during the contract term. Approved chemicals must be mild odor or odorless and registered with the Federal Department of Agriculture and EPA. Chemicals listed include Diaz-4A, Vapo's, Talon-G, Ficam-W, Whitmere Systems, Ficam-D, Demon-1%, and Eaton's Bait Blocks. Termite control is excluded from this contract.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a three-year period beginning May 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Essex-Rosedale District Court/Multi-Service Center located at 8914 Kelso Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21221.
