On call plumbing and Maintenance services for Northern and Central Regions

Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is seeking to procure on-call plumbing and preventive maintenance services for its facilities located in the Northern and Central regions of Maryland.
The purpose of this contract is to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of plumbing systems, which includes emergency and non-emergency repairs, as well as scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
The MDTA aims to award up to two contracts, one for each defined region, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive range of plumbing services including:
- On-call emergency repairs and preventive maintenance for plumbing equipment and systems such as faucets, water closets, urinals, shower heads, mixing valves, flush valves, hot water tanks, supply lines, drain lines, septic tanks, grinder pumps, and holding tanks.
- Development of a Preventative Maintenance Plan (PMP) and Checklist (CL) within 90 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
- Conducting an initial inspection within 60 days of NTP to identify deficiencies in plumbing systems.
- Responding to service calls within specified timeframes: non-emergency calls within four hours and emergency calls within two hours.
- Providing all labor, materials (including drywall, asphalt, concrete), and transportation necessary for service execution.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards during service execution.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of three years with an option for two additional years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Maryland Transportation Authority facilities located in the Northern and Central regions of Maryland.
