Background
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is an independent agency responsible for operating multiple toll facilities across Maryland, including bridges, tunnels, and office buildings. The agency aims to ensure the reliability of HVAC and Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) systems, which are critical for the safety and comfort of its employees and customers. This contract is intended to secure maintenance and repair services for these systems at the MDTA William Preston Lane, Jr. (WPL) Bridge Facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Automatic Temperature Controls (ATC) maintenance and repair services. This includes:

- Maintenance of all HVAC components such as boilers, dampers, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning units, compressors, electrical controls, pneumatic controls, coils, pumps, valves, gauges, motors, exhaust fans, ice makers, and portable a/c units.

- ATC services including pneumatic and electric control systems maintenance, direct digital control systems management, automation services, data protection and recovery solutions.

- Additional tasks may involve the removal of freon from non-operative refrigerators and ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.

- The contractor must ensure that all equipment is maintained according to the original manufacturer's recommendations to prevent life/safety hazards.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is three years with an option for one additional two-year renewal period.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Maryland Transportation Authority WPL Bridge Facility located in Baltimore County.
