M00B3600165 : Inside Cable Spring Grove Hospital Center

Background
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is issuing a Purchase Order Request for Proposals (PORFP) for the installation of new cable drops at the Spring Grove Hospital Center, located at 55 Wade Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing telephone system with a VoIP solution by installing a total of 581 new cable drops, which includes both CAT 6 and analog drops. This project is critical for enhancing communication infrastructure within the hospital.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing a total of 581 cable drops: 512 CAT 6 drops (460 dual and 27 single) and 69 analog drops. The work includes:

1. Installation of CAT 6 data drops according to provided floor plans.

2. Installation of single analog drops for wall phones, including surface-mounted conduit as required.

3. All cables must be installed within vendor-provided conduit and secured with J hooks or appropriate clamps.

4. Cables should be concealed wherever possible and secured adequately in areas housing patients.

5. All cables must be less than 100 meters in length and comply with Bicsi and N.E.C. standards.

6. All cables installed must be blue in color and terminated on Category 6 patch panels located at the nearest MDF/IDF closet.

7. The vendor must provide a ten-year warranty on all materials and workmanship from project completion.

8. Quality of Service (QoS) testing must be performed on all installed cables, with documentation provided upon completion.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed no later than May 21, 2025.

The installation will take place at Spring Grove Hospital Center, located at 55 Wade Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228.
