Background
The Maryland Army National Guard is undertaking a project to construct an Access Control Point at Camp Fretterd Military Reservation located in Reisterstown, MD. The project aims to enhance security measures and improve access control for the military facility.

The Department of General Services and the Board of Public Works oversee the project, with Michael Graves Architecture serving as the architect.

Work Details
The contract includes the following key components:
1. Construction of a new security entrance with a canopy and guard booths.
2. Demolition of the existing guard booth and portions of the roadway.
3. Roadway reconfiguration to improve access.
4. Installation of a stormwater management system.
5. Provision of water utilities, electric power utilities, and communication conduit utilities.
6. Relocation of existing fencing and an electrified sign.

The project will also include delegated design items such as the canopy, guard booths, and fire protection sprinkler system.

Period of Performance
The construction is expected to commence immediately upon notice to proceed and will be executed in phases to accommodate the owner's use of premises during construction.
