K-000-220-003 Life Skills and Re-Entry Center for Women (Baltimore Women's Pre-release)

Background
The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to obtain professional services for the design of a new Life Skills and Re-Entry Center for Women (LSRCW) Facility.
This facility aims to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of women, aligning with the state's mission to enhance community safety and support vulnerable populations.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for the LSRCW, which will be approximately 62,000 gross square feet.
The scope includes:
- Full architectural and engineering design
- Creation of construction bid documents
- Site work and utility work
- Participation in the bidding process
- Mandatory presence at the construction site throughout the project duration
- Limited participation in warranty meetings at 6, 12, and 23 months post substantial completion.
The design must adhere to the approved Facility Program dated July 11, 2024.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for 7 years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The project will be located at 717 Forrest Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
