Background
The Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County, Maryland is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB 2025-053) for the renovation of the Calvert Pines Senior Center. The project aims to enhance the facilities and services provided at the center, which serves the senior community in Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Work Details
The contract includes comprehensive renovation work at the Calvert Pines Senior Center located at 450 W. Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Specific tasks include:

1. Removal and disposal of the existing storefront system including frames, glazing, and doors.
2. Installation of new plastic laminate cabinets as specified in Drawing Sheet CS-4.
3. Installation of luxury vinyl tile flooring as detailed in Drawing Sheet CS-5.
4. All work must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including obtaining necessary building permits and adhering to prevailing wage rates as outlined in Attachment B.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within 290 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Calvert Pines Senior Center located at 450 W. Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid price along with their submission. Contractors are required to have been in business for at least five years and must submit references from similar projects completed within that timeframe. Subcontractors must be approved by Calvert County Government prior to commencement of work.
