Indoor Air Quality Services at Various Facilities

Background
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is the largest school system in Maryland and the 17th largest in the nation, serving over 162,000 students across approximately 240 educational facilities. The agency has an active Indoor Air Quality Program that necessitates specialized services from contractors with expertise in industrial hygiene services, testing, and evaluations. This solicitation aims to prequalify contractors who can provide comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Testing and Consulting Services, including but not limited to Indoor Air Quality assessments, radon testing, pipe insulation evaluations, and mold and lead paint services.

Work Details
The contract encompasses Industrial Hygiene Testing and Consulting Services at various MCPS locations throughout Montgomery County, Maryland. Specific services include:
- Indoor Air Quality assessments
- Radon testing
- Pipe Insulation Evaluation (mechanical and environmental)
- PCBs evaluation
- Mold remediation services
- Lead Paint Services.
Contractors will be required to submit firm cost proposals after conducting comprehensive inspections of each work site. All bid prices must be all-inclusive covering labor, equipment, and materials necessary to fulfill the specifications outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract will initially be for one year following approval by the Board of Education. MCPS reserves the right to extend this contract for up to four additional one-year terms based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various Montgomery County Public Schools locations throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.
