Background
The State of Maryland, through the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS), is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure Dietary Equipment Repair Services for a duration of five years.

The services are essential for maintaining food quality, safety, and operational readiness across fourteen facilities located in the Baltimore, Jessup, Sykesville, and Westover Regions. These facilities rely on various kitchen equipment that requires regular maintenance and prompt repair due to the rigorous demands of daily operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Dietary Equipment Repair Services including emergency on-call repairs for critical kitchen equipment and regular hour repairs for essential equipment. Specific responsibilities include:
- Emergency Critical Service for equipment such as ovens, tray machines, walk-in refrigerators, and walk-in freezers.
- Regular Essential Service for refrigerators, freezers, griddles, tilt skillets, ice machines, and grills.
- Small Appliance Repair for can openers, slicers, mixers, steam tables, hot/cold bars, and coffee makers.

The contractor must ensure all technicians are certified under the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) program and comply with all safety laws and building codes.

Additionally, the contractor is responsible for parts management including ordering parts from approved sources and maintaining documentation. Emergency maintenance must be available 24/7 with a technician on-site within 12 hours of notification. Regular repairs must be completed within specified timeframes depending on the urgency of the repair.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various DPSCS facilities located in Baltimore City; Jessup; Sykesville; and Westover Regions.
