CAG 25-1: Prospect Mill Elementary School Comprehensive Roof Replacement

Background
The Prospect Mill Elementary School Comprehensive Roof Replacement Project is initiated by the Board of Education of Harford County, located at 101 Prospect Mill Road, Bel Air, MD 21015. The mission of the Harford County Public Schools is to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof system at Prospect Mill Elementary School to ensure safety and functionality for the school community.

Work Details
The project involves comprehensive roofing work which includes: removing and replacing the existing built-up and PVC roofing, insulation, and flashings where indicated; preparing the existing deck including repair or replacement of unsuitable deck; and installing a new roofing system along with all necessary accessories such as new roof drains and roof ladders.

Specific materials include Polyisocyanurate InsulBase from Carlisle, rigid board with glass fiber reinforced facers meeting ASTM C 1289 standards, and SecurShield HD Polyiso Cover board. The roofing system must achieve a minimum R value not less than an average of 30.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon receipt of bids on March 11, 2025, with substantial completion expected by August 22, 2025.

The work will be performed at Prospect Mill Elementary School located at 101 Prospect Mill Road, Bel Air, MD 21015.
