Background
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking bids for 3rd Party Elevator Inspection Services to ensure the safety and compliance of its elevator systems.

The Office of Facility Management aims to engage a qualified contractor to conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of multiple elevator units across the campus, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide the following services:
- Annual safety inspections of all elevators and escalators.
- Load testing to verify that elevators can safely handle their rated capacity.
- Maintenance audits to assess the condition and performance of the elevator systems.
- Compliance verification with applicable regulations including ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators and ASME A17.2 Guide for Inspection of Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks.
- Detailed reporting of findings, including photographs and recommendations for corrective actions within five business days post-inspection.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on September 15, 2024, and continue through September 14, 2027, with two one-year renewal options available at UMBC's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations across the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus.
