Background
The Baltimore County Department of Public Works & Transportation is issuing a contract for the renovation of the kitchen at Randallstown Fire Station #18, located at 3610 Brenbrook Drive, Randallstown, Maryland.

The purpose of this contract is to replace existing kitchen equipment and make necessary improvements to ensure the facility meets current standards for use by fire department personnel.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the demolition of existing kitchen equipment, preparation of floors and walls for new finishes, installation of new ceilings, lighting, and HVAC systems.

There will be no reconfiguration of walls; however, one door swing will be reversed to enhance response time into the apparatus bay. The project is classified as a Level 2 alteration under the International Existing Building Code (IEBC), meaning it involves modifications that do not exceed 50% of the floor area or significantly alter the building's use. The work area totals 885 square feet within a single-story masonry structure.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set for 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which is targeted for December 19, 2024. Construction is expected to start on January 3, 2025, with completion anticipated by July 7, 2025.
