Worcester Trial Court - IT UPS System Replacement

Background
The Worcester Trial Court, part of the Massachusetts judicial system, is seeking to replace its existing Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system. The goal of this project is to implement a modern and reliable UPS solution that meets current operational needs and ensures sufficient power backup during utility outages. This initiative is part of the Facilities Management & Capital Planning Department's efforts to maintain and improve court facilities.

Work Details
The project involves the complete replacement of the existing UPS system at the Worcester Trial Courthouse located at 225 Main Street, Worcester, MA. The new UPS solution must meet contemporary operational requirements and provide adequate power backup during outages. The estimated cost for this project is $285,000. The work will be subject to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 44A-J, including minimum wage rates as mandated by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H.

Period of Performance
The estimated time for completion of the work is forty-five (45) calendar days from the start date specified in the Owner-Contractor Agreement for the successful bidder.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Worcester Trial Courthouse located at 225 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a Prime/General Contractor Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). All employees working on this project must have completed an OSHA-approved construction safety course of at least 10 hours in duration. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with MBE/WBE participation goals as outlined in the solicitation documents.
