Trade Contractor Request for Qualifications

Background
The Town of Hopkinton, through the Hopkinton School Committee, is seeking qualifications for trade contractors for a construction project. The project involves the addition and renovation of Hopkins Lower Middle School to convert an existing elementary school to a middle school program. The estimated construction cost is $41,500,000 with a phased duration of 24 months. The project will include a new geothermal well field, dedicated all-electric mechanical equipment, renovation of various school facilities, HVAC upgrades, site work including expanded parking and playing field, and other related construction work.

Work Details
The work includes various subtrade contractor categories such as masonry, miscellaneous and ornamental iron, waterproofing, dampproofing, caulking, roofing and flashing, tile work, acoustical tile installation, resilient floors installation, painting, fire protection systems installation, plumbing work, heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) systems installation, and electrical work.
The project also involves select gut renovation of the kitchen, cafeteria, music rooms and loading dock as well as the renovation & repurposing of interior educational spaces.

Period of Performance
The estimated construction duration is phased over 24 months.
The submission deadline for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Tuesday, 4/17/2024 at 1:00pm.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at Hopkins Lower Middle School located at 89 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton, MA 01748.
