Town of Holden Dawson Recreation Playground Equipment

Background
The Town of Holden, Massachusetts is seeking quotes for the 'Dawson Recreation Playground Equipment' project. The project is part of the construction of a new fully inclusive playground at the Dawson Recreation site as part of a larger field and park construction project. The quotes are being solicited pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, Goods and Services and through the Massachusetts Operational Services Division’s 'FAC 122: Landscaping Products, Parks and Recreation Equipment and Related Products, Supplies, and Services' statewide contract.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the manufacture and supply of playground equipment, including specific items such as Tree Tops with Steel Post, Footprint Balance Beam, Focal Sensory Wall, Fox Den Hangouts, Hemisphere Climber, Pod Climber, Hillside Climbing Handgrips, Hill Loop, We-Go-Round with Perf Panels, Welcome Sign, Oodle Swing.
The equipment specifications require that all components shall be delivered to the playground construction site located at 18 Industrial Drive, Holden, MA 01520. The contractor is also required to provide shop drawings and submittals for each piece of equipment listed in Attachment B for review and approval by the Town.

Period of Performance
The contract term shall commence on the date of the contract and shall terminate upon thirty (30) days from the installation of the equipment within the new playground. A retainage of five (5) percent shall be held on all payments to the Contractor from the time of delivery and payment to the time of installation of the equipment by the Town at the playground. Installation of the equipment is currently expected to occur in the Spring of 2025.
