Road Resurfacing - Town of Leicester

Background
The Town of Leicester is seeking bids for road resurfacing. Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Town Administrator, 3 Washburn Square, Leicester, MA 01524 until April 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The entire project must be completed and invoiced by September 30, 2024.

Work Details
The work consists of removal of existing bituminous pavement by cold planer, followed by repaving with Class I bituminous pavement. The Contractor shall provide all equipment necessary for cold planing, hauling of all removed materials and cleaning of surface in preparation of pavement.

There may be roadways that will require keyways up to three feet wide that will not be cold planed; they will be resurfaced only. Hot bituminous concrete pavement will be placed in the same locations as directed by the DPW Director or Foreman. This pavement shall be machine laid in one (1) top course at one-half (1 1/2) inches in compacted thickness with a leveler only as needed. The work shall include roadways and any other paved areas encountered in the work. Resurfacing will not be strictly limited to the areas disturbed, when in the judgment of the DPW Director or Foreman, an expansion of the work is necessary for proper restoration.

Period of Performance
The project must be completed and invoiced by September 30, 2024.
