Request for Qualifications - Construction of Two PFAS Water Treatment Plants

Background
The Town of Westford is seeking qualified and experienced General Contractor and Subcontractor firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the construction of two PFAS water treatment plants.

This project is part of the town's initiative to address water quality issues related to PFAS contamination. The contract aims to ensure the successful construction of these facilities to support the community's water supply needs.

Work Details
The work includes the construction of two new PFAS water treatment plants with capacities of 3.02 MGD and 3.37 MGD located at the Forge Village and Nutting Road sites, respectively.

Key components of the project include:
- Site work for both locations
- Construction of a new 4,536 SF PFAS Water Treatment Plant building featuring masonry walls, wood roof trusses, and an asphalt shingle roof
- Installation of process piping and process equipment
- HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, instrumentation, and SCADA
- The Forge Village building will have block veneer while the Nutting Road building will feature vinyl siding.

Period of Performance
Work is anticipated to begin in the Summer of 2025 and must be substantially completed within 670 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at two sites in Westford, Massachusetts: Forge Village and Nutting Road.
