Municipal Street Light Maintenance

Background
The Town of Bedford, Massachusetts is seeking sealed bids for the Maintenance of its Municipal Street Lighting System. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of approximately 1620 LED street lights across various locations including municipal parking lots, athletic fields, public schools, and Depot Park. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the maintenance of approximately 1620 LED street lights. Specific tasks include:
- Annual inspections
- Responding to outages
- Installing new pole/fixture sets
- Performing double pole relamping

The work will cover all municipal parking lots, athletic fields, public schools, and Depot Park.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and will conclude on June 30, 2028. Future purchases from the successful bidder are contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds in subsequent fiscal years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Bedford, Massachusetts, specifically covering all municipal areas where street lighting is installed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Security amounting to 5% of the Total Bid in forms such as a bid bond or certified check. The successful bidder is required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond with a surety company qualified to operate in Massachusetts. Bidders must also comply with wage rates established by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H.
