MUN-2024-1027 Suffolk Downs Phase 1R Off-Site Roadway Improvements

Background
The City of Revere, Massachusetts is issuing an Invitation for Bids for the construction of the Suffolk Downs Phase 1R Off-Site Roadway Improvements project. This project aims to enhance infrastructure and improve pedestrian and roadway facilities in specific locations within the city. The contract will be funded through the MassWorks Grant Program. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is not a party to this contract.

Work Details
The project includes infrastructure, sidewalk, and signal improvements at the following locations:

1. Intersection of Revere Beach Parkway (Route 16) with Winthrop Avenue and Route 145.
2. Intersection of Squire Road (Route 60) with Sigourney Street.
3. Intersection of Lee Burbank Highway (Route 1A) with Furlong Drive and Railroad Street.
4. Intersection of American Legion Highway (Route 60) with Harris Street.

Improvements include:
- Installation of a new signalized crossing at American Legion Highway and Harris Street.
- Signal upgrades at Revere Beach Parkway and Winthrop Avenue.
- Signal retiming at Squire Road and Sigourney Street.
- Installation of new cement and hot mix asphalt sidewalks.
- New cement concrete pedestrian ramps.
- Removal and modification of existing medians.
- Installation of vertical granite curbing.
- Full depth pavement reconstruction.
- Box widening, structural mill and overlay.
- New pavement marking installation.
- Installation of new signage.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and will continue until completion as specified in the contract documents. Bids are due by September 9, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations within the City of Revere, Massachusetts.
