MUN-2024-1024 Fenno Street Drainage Improvements

Background
The City of Revere, Massachusetts is seeking bids for the construction of Fenno Street Drainage Improvements. The project involves the installation of drain pipes, manholes, catch basins, and pavement restoration on various streets. The contract requires prequalification by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for contractors working on drainage projects with an estimated value of $1,300,000. The contract time for the base bid is 90 calendar days, with additional contract time for two additive alternatives. Final paving must be completed within 21 consecutive calendar days and no excavation work is allowed between November 15 and April 15.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing and installing approximately 750 linear feet of 12-inch through 24-inch PVC and ductile iron drain pipe; removal or filling with grout of existing drain pipe; furnishing and installing eleven drain manholes and three catch basins; and furnishing and installing pavement restoration on Fenno Street, Penn Street, Olive Street, and Revere Beach Parkway.
Additionally, there are two additive alternatives under this contract, involving furnishing and installing approximately 250 linear feet of 12-inch through 15-inch PVC drain pipe; removal or filling with grout of existing drain pipe; furnishing and installing one drain manhole; and furnishing and installing pavement and sidewalk restoration on Olive Street.

Period of Performance
The contract time for the base bid is a total of ninety (90) calendar days excluding final paving, commencing ten (10) days following the effective date of the agreement.
Additional Contract Time for Bid Additive Alternate 1 shall be fifteen (15) calendar days, excluding final paving.
Additional Contract Time for Bid Additive Alternate 2 shall be fifteen (15) calendar days, excluding final paving.
Once initiated, final paving shall be completed in twenty-one (21) consecutive calendar days.
All final paving shall be completed no later than July 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The project will take place in Revere, Massachusetts at various locations including Fenno Street, Penn Street, Olive Street, and Revere Beach Parkway.
