Mowing and Landscaping of Cemeteries

Background
The Town of Wilbraham Cemetery Commission is seeking qualified individuals or companies to provide mowing and landscape maintenance services for three town cemeteries. The contract aims to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic maintenance of these cemeteries over a specified period, aligning with the Town's commitment to maintaining its public spaces. The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and will last for 36 months.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services at all three cemeteries:

1. Close-trim trees, plantings, and memorials by hand or with a string trimmer; remove clippings and debris before each mowing.
2. Remove ordinary debris that can be handled by one person, including trash and tree limbs.
3. Large items may be removed upon prior approval from Cemetery Commissioners.
4. Empty trash bins monthly or as needed without disposing materials on cemetery properties.
5. Perform lawn care in a neat manner, replacing any torn turf the same day it is dislodged.
6. Restore disturbed gravel on cemetery roads the same day it is disturbed.
7. Special attention must be paid to historic headstones to avoid damage; any damage must be reported immediately.
8. Conduct fall clean-up after leaves have fallen, completing by December 1, with all debris disposed of offsite.
9. Conduct spring clean-up prior to first mowing, including removal of leaves and twigs and applying mulch to newly planted trees.

Optional services include shrub trimming and additional landscaping projects upon authorization.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at three town cemeteries located in Wilbraham, Massachusetts.
