Marlborough District Court -VAV Box Enclosure and Cleaning

Background
The Marlborough District Court, part of the Massachusetts Trial Court system, is seeking to enhance its facilities through a contract for return air duct cleaning. The Office of Court Management, Facilities Management & Capital Planning is responsible for overseeing this project. This initiative aims to ensure a clean and efficient HVAC system within the courthouse by removing and cleaning all return air diffusers and the associated ductwork to maintain air quality and system performance.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to remove and thoroughly clean a total of 48 return air diffusers located throughout the building. For each diffuser, the contractor must clean the interior of 6 linear feet of HVAC ductwork before re-installing the diffusers. All work must be scheduled after courthouse hours or on weekends. Any mechanical shutdowns necessary for this work must be coordinated with the Trial Court and are subject to their approval. Workers must pass a CORI check before being allowed on site. The contractor may utilize facility water and electricity during the project. A 50% payment bond is required.

Period of Performance
The planned start date for this project is April 24, 2025, with completion expected after all work has been performed according to the approved schedule.

The work will take place at the Marlborough District Court located at 45 Williams Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
