Background
The City of Boston, through its Public Facilities Department (PFD), is issuing an Invitation for Bids for the construction of the Fields Corner Branch Library.
This project aims to replace the existing single-story library built in the 1960s with a new two-story building that will enhance community services and facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of a new 14,790 square foot, two-story building to replace the existing 8,600 square foot library.
The project requires various sub-trades including:
- Masonry
- Miscellaneous Ornamental
- Acoustical Tile
- Roofing and Flashing
- Painting
- Glass & Glazing
- Metal Windows
- Fire Protection
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Electrical.
The successful contractor will be responsible for all aspects of construction as detailed in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The expected contract duration is for 486 days from the start date.

The construction will take place at the Fields Corner Branch Library location in Boston, MA.
