Background
The Saugus Housing Authority is the awarding authority for the Laurel Towers Roof Replacement Project. This project aims to replace the roofing system at Laurel Towers, a state-aided development located at 2 Rice Street, Saugus, MA. It is part of the agency's mission to maintain and improve housing facilities for residents.

Work Details
The project involves the replacement of all low sloped roof areas (PVC) at Laurel Towers, covering approximately 10,354 square feet. The work includes:
- Tear-off application of existing roofing
- Installation of a new 80-mil PVC Roofing System
- Fully adhered insulation to the concrete roof deck
- New tapered insulation to achieve an average R-value of 31.25
- Drain replacement
- Installation of new smoke hatches
- Installation of walkway pads
- Replacement of pitch pockets, scupper boxes, and downspouts
- Tying in new PVC membrane to existing red PVC membrane
- Replacement of doors
- Disconnecting and reconnecting existing lightning protection system
- Raising vent pipe and exhaust fan curb heights
- Coordinating with cellular contractor for disconnecting and reconnecting cellular equipment.
