The purpose of this contract is to establish a requirements contract for routine janitorial services that encompass all phases, schedules, and procedures unique to the operations of public buildings.
The Town aims to ensure effective and efficient management of cleaning personnel to maintain cleanliness in its facilities.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to: general housekeeping tasks, vacuuming with attachments, dusting surfaces including shelves and window sills, mopping floors (with mop heads replaced every 1-3 months), and using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.
The contractor must supply all necessary labor, equipment, and supervision while ensuring that trained personnel perform all work according to industry standards.
Specific supplies such as brooms, dustpans, buckets, floor cleaners, and dust wands will be provided by the contractor; however, paper products and hand soap will be supplied by the Town.
Each building will have its own janitor closet with supplies specific to that location.
The Police Department and Town Hall require a minimum of two staff members for cleaning six nights a week.
Additionally, the contractor must notify the Town of any language barriers among cleaning staff for effective communication.
Period of Performance
The contract term is three years starting from June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2028.
Place of Performance
Cleaning services will be performed at various buildings within the Town of Yarmouth, Massachusetts.
