Berkshire Superior Court - Split AC system Replacement

Background
The Office of Court Management is issuing a contract for the replacement of the existing split AC system at the Berkshire Superior Court located at 76 East St, Pittsfield, MA.
The goal of this contract is to ensure efficient climate control within the court facilities, which is essential for maintaining a conducive environment for court operations.

Work Details
The contractor will replace the existing split AC system with one Mitsubishi Outdoor condenser and two Mitsubishi Indoor Fan Coil Units.
The replacement units do not have to be Mitsubishi but must be of equal quality.
The new units must include either a remote or thermostat for control and should be heat pump units.
Specific tasks include:
- Removing and disposing of existing equipment and line set
- Renting a crane if necessary, including pick plan and permit
- Installation of new heat pump unit including rooftop condenser, line sets, dual zone heads, and two thermostats (electrical work by vendor)
- Ensuring line sets are properly insulated
- Running line sets through existing roof pitch pocket and sealing it watertight
- Performing startup and testing of the new system.
The cooling capacity of the heat pump must match that of the existing split AC unit.

Period of Performance
The exact start date is to be determined (TBD), with repairs expected to be completed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

The work will take place at Berkshire Superior Court, located at 76 East St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
