Rush Bid - Lawn Care - New Iberia Research Center (RENEWABLE)

Background
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking bids for lawn care services at the New Iberia Research Center. The contract aims to maintain the integrity and appearance of the grounds through regular maintenance activities. The goal is to ensure a neat, orderly, and professional appearance throughout the year, aligning with the university's commitment to maintaining its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn maintenance services including:

1. Conducting periodic lawn maintenance based on seasonal grass growth, approximately 36 mowing sessions per year.
2. Performing string trimming and herbicide application to maintain edges around fixed objects and trees.
3. Conducting semi-annual bed maintenance around building 34.

The contractor must supply all necessary labor, materials, chemicals, and equipment required for these services. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing at a height of 2.5 to 3 inches with no grass exceeding 5 inches.
- Removing debris larger than hand-size before mowing.
- Edging along designated walks and curb areas every second mowing.
- Herbicide application along fencing, buildings, sidewalks, and limestone pathways as needed, with monthly applications using broad-spectrum systemic herbicides.
- All clippings must be removed from sidewalks and parking areas post-mowing.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue through June 30, 2025, with options to renew for up to four additional twelve-month periods based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the New Iberia Research Center located on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in New Iberia, Louisiana.
