RFQ Baton Rouge Convention Center Expansion & HQs Hotel Develop. Proj

Background
The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge (City-Parish) is seeking proposals for the Baton Rouge Convention Center Expansion and Headquarters Hotel Development Project. This initiative aims to enhance the city's capacity to host events and improve its hospitality offerings, thereby supporting its role as a cultural and economic hub in Louisiana.

The project includes the redevelopment and expansion of the River Center, which serves as a venue for various events, and the development of a new headquarters hotel to complement these facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Redevelopment and expansion of the River Center, which encompasses:
a) Renovation of the Arena, addressing challenges such as seating upgrades, improved loading dock conditions, enhanced food and beverage points of sale, technology upgrades, and better vertical circulation;
b) Renovation of existing convention center assets including exhibit halls, ballrooms, and meeting spaces;
c) Development of a new headquarters hotel with 350-400 rooms attached to the River Center;
d) Upgrades to structured parking assets with a total capacity of 1,300 spaces.

The project also requires engaging a master developer for design-build-finance-operate-maintain arrangements.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence following the award on June 1, 2025, with an estimated initiation in Q2 2025. The timeline for completion will be determined based on the proposals received.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the City-Parish River Center located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
