Background
The NIRC Building 34 Air Handling Unit and Controls Replacement project is issued by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, located in New Iberia, Louisiana. The mission of this project is to replace outdated air handling units and upgrade the building management system to improve operational efficiency and maintain a comfortable environment within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Replacing existing air handling units 34A and 34B, including necessary piping modifications to accommodate new valves and controls.

2. Alternate No. 1 (Phase 2) involves converting all Variable Air Volume (VAV) box controls from the old Building Management System (Insight) to the current Building Management System (Tridium), along with replacing existing controllers and hot water valves as required.

3. Alternate No. 2 (Phase 2) includes converting existing hot water reheat controls from the old Building Management System (Insight) to the current Building Management System (Tridium), also requiring replacement of existing controllers and hot water valves as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid submission deadline on May 1, 2025, with specific timelines to be determined during the pre-bid meeting.
