Temporary Employment at KY Correctional Psychiatric Center

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet on behalf of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, is issuing this solicitation to establish a Master Agreement for temporary employment services at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC).

KCPC is a maximum-security facility located in LaGrange, Kentucky, providing pre-trial forensic evaluations and inpatient psychiatric treatment for individuals charged with felony offenses. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the staffing needs of the Commonwealth are met effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide temporary employment services at KCPC. This includes staffing various positions as detailed in Attachment A, which lists job descriptions, shifts, and pay rates.

Employees must adhere to confidentiality requirements regarding patients, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations. All employees are required to take scheduled meal breaks in accordance with labor laws. Work schedules are based on a 37.5-hour work week with shifts varying from 6:45 AM to 7:00 AM across three shifts. Mandatory overtime may be required for certain positions. Contract employees must undergo pre-employment drug screening and annual background checks. Specific qualifications include being at least 21 years old and passing CPR certification if required for the position.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and run through June 30, 2025, with options for renewal for six additional two-year periods.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center located at 1612 Dawkins Road, LaGrange, KY 40031.
