Background
The Kentucky State Police is undertaking the KSP Post 11 Building Renovations project in Laurel County, Kentucky, to extend the usable life of the building and maintain its weather resistance. The project aims to address various structural issues and improve the overall functionality of the facility.

Work Details
The renovation includes replacing the existing roof with a new SBS modified bitumen roof assembly, cover board, and insulation. New scuppers will be installed at new locations along with conductor heads, downspouts, metal coping, and accessories such as a roof access ladder.

The façade will be repaired due to visible decay, including cracks in the brick and deterioration of exposed steel beams. Damaged masonry above steel beams will be removed for new through-wall flashing installation and reconstructed from salvaged materials. The remaining masonry will be repaired, and exposed beams will be cleaned and painted with anti-corrosion paint. Additionally, new storefront windows with ballistic Level 3 rating will be installed, and existing garage doors will be infilled with masonry to better meet user needs. All masonry work will be finished with breathable, exterior-grade paint.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and continue until project completion.

Place of Performance
The renovations will take place at the Kentucky State Police Post 11 located at 11 State Police Road, London, Kentucky.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit their proposals electronically through the Commonwealth’s eProcurement system. All bidders must be registered in the Vendor Self Service (VSS) System prior to bid submission. Bids submitted via postal carrier or hand delivery will not be accepted.
