Janitorial Services Spindletop

Background
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet's Department for Facilities and Support Services, is issuing this solicitation for Janitorial Services at the Spindletop Administration Building located at 2624 Research Park Dr., Lexington, KY.

The goal of this contract is to establish a Master Agreement for comprehensive janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the facility, ensuring it meets operational needs while adhering to specified standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services five days a week (Monday through Friday), excluding state holidays, during the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Responsibilities include:
- Routine cleaning tasks as outlined in Attachment A.
- Coordination with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for cleaning schedules during working hours.
- Major and minor project work as scheduled in Attachment C.

Specific tasks include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning carpets and floors, maintaining restrooms, and managing waste disposal. The contractor must ensure all cleaning products are environmentally friendly where possible and meet safety standards.

Additionally, an on-call day porter must be available during business hours with a maximum response time of 20 minutes.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year with options for renewal based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Janitorial services will be performed at the Spindletop Administration Building located at 2624 Research Park Dr., Lexington, KY 40511.
