Cancer Center Modular Exam Room Design Build

Background
The University of Kentucky Medical Center is undertaking a significant project to construct a new Cancer Center and Advanced Ambulatory Center on its Lexington campus. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare services in the region and is part of a broader commitment to serve community needs. The project includes the installation of Modular Exam Rooms, which are essential for the operation of the new facilities. The University seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive design and construction services for these modular units.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all design, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the Modular Exam Rooms for the Cancer Center and Advanced Ambulatory Center. Key requirements include:
- A turn-key installation that includes clean-up after installation.
- A single point of contact during the project to ensure all requirements are met.
- All necessary permitting, engineering, labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, and services as specified in the RFP documents and drawings prepared by Champlin Architects, THP Limited, AEI Engineering.
- The proposal must focus solely on the Modular Exam Rooms as part of the base scope.
- The contractor must have prior experience with similar modular projects in terms of size and quality.

Period of Performance
The anticipated schedule milestones include:
- Awarding of Modular RFP in November 2024;
- Coordination with Design for Modular Scope also in November 2024;
- Start of Deep Foundations Construction in Q4 2024;
- Fit-out Start in Q4 2025;
- Early Pod Deliveries expected by March 2026;
- Activation of Air Handling Units starting July 2026;
- Substantial Completion targeted for Q4 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at the University of Kentucky's Lexington campus.
