Parking Lot Overlay - Wamego

Background
The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a parking lot overlay project located in Wamego, Kansas. The project aims to repave the parking lot to ensure safety and usability for the public. This solicitation is part of the agency's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve transportation infrastructure across the state.

Work Details
The project consists of parking lot repaving, which includes:
1) Milling - a uniform 1 1/2” milling of the existing asphalt surface;
2) HMA Overlay - placement of a nominal 1 1/2” overlay on all milled areas.

The work will be measured and paid for by square yard for milling and by ton for HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A). All asphalt material must be commercial grade suitable for the intended application, using PG Grade 70-28 binder. The contractor must coordinate with KDOT staff daily and provide seven working days' notice before beginning work. All work must be completed no later than October 31, 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the mandatory pre-bid meeting on April 15, 2025, with completion required within five working days from the start date, but no later than October 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Kansas Department of Transportation Area 5 located at 1425 W US-24, Wamego, KS.
