RFQ/P - Planning & Landscape Architecture Design Services - Brownfields Assessment Grant

Background
The City of Decatur, Illinois, through its Economic & Community Development Department, is seeking qualifications and proposals for planning and landscape architecture design services. This initiative is part of a city-wide Brownfields Assessment Grant funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The goal is to engage qualified planning consulting firms to assist in market studies, community engagement, and design charrettes that will enhance the city's development efforts.

Work Details
The selected firm will provide the following services:
1. Conduct a comprehensive market study to assess local needs and opportunities.
2. Facilitate innovative community engagement processes to involve residents and stakeholders in planning efforts.
3. Organize and lead design charrettes aimed at generating creative solutions for land use and development in areas affected by brownfields.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon selection of the Respondent and is expected to continue through the completion of the project. Proposals are due by December 2, 2024, with interviews scheduled for the week of December 16, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the City of Decatur, Illinois.
