Request for Proposals for 30 Inch Raw Water Intake Maintenance

Background
The Village of Northbrook, Illinois, is seeking proposals for the maintenance of a 30-inch Raw Water Intake. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the water intake system, which is essential for the village's water supply. The work will be performed at the intake located at 1195 Sheridan Rd, Glencoe.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supplies for the maintenance of the 30-inch Raw Water Intake. This includes:

1. Cleaning the interior and exterior of the intake screen structure.
2. Video documentation of exposed sections after cleaning and stone placement.
3. Installation of approximately 300 tons of 1”-2” bedding stone under the pipe up to the spring line.
4. Installation of approximately 300 tons of 6” stone from the spring line to the crown of the pipe.
5. Installation of approximately 900 tons of 18”-24” rip-rap cover stone on exposed sections.
6. All items in this cost breakdown are inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, and a final written report and video to verify project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon acceptance and will be performed continuously until completion as specified in Attachment B.

The work will be performed at the Raw Water Intake located at 1195 Sheridan Rd, Glencoe, Illinois.
