IDOC SWICC Industrial Washing Machine

Background
The Southern Illinois Correctional Center, part of the Illinois Department of Corrections, is seeking qualified vendors to provide an industrial washing machine. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's laundry capabilities by acquiring a new washing machine and ensuring its maintenance over a five-year period.

Work Details
The vendor will provide, deliver, and install one (1) brand new Milnor 100 lb. capacity rigid mount extractor washing machine or equivalent. The scope includes:
- Removal of the existing inoperable washer.
- Five (5) years of repair and maintenance services for the new washer.

The washing machine must meet specific minimum specifications including:
- Capacity: Minimum 100 pounds
- Cylinder Diameter x Depth: approximately 36” x 26”
- Cylinder Volume: Minimum 15.3 cu. Ft.
- Door Opening: 18”
- Size: Not to exceed 47.87” width x 58” depth x 67” height
- Motor: Minimum 5 HP
- Wash Speeds: RPM between 25-45
- Inlet Valve: ¾” and Drain Valve: 3”

Additional features include water-saving technology, touch screen controller, microprocessor control, and a minimum five-year limited warranty on frame, cylinder & shell. The vendor must also provide skilled labor for installation and removal of the old equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Period of Performance
The delivery and installation of the washing machine should be completed no later than January 31, 2025. The contract includes five (5) years of maintenance services following installation.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center located at 950 N Kingshighway, East St. Louis, IL 62203.
