IDOC - Elevator Repair & Maintenance

Background
The East Moline Correctional Center, part of the Illinois Department of Corrections, is seeking bids for a three-year contract aimed at providing comprehensive elevator repair and maintenance services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of elevators within the facility, which is critical for both staff and inmates.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a complete program of elevator preventative maintenance and repair for the following elevators:

1) ADMIN WEST – Hydraulic – Montgomery – HY11 – Passenger;
2) ADMIN EAST – Hydraulic – Montgomery – HY11 – Passenger;
3) RESIDENT – Hydraulic – Montgomery – HY12 – Passenger;
4) DIETARY – Hydraulic – Montgomery – Freight;
5) HOUSING UNIT 2 – Hydraulic – Montgomery – Passenger.

Services include full coverage maintenance, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs. Specific tasks include examining, cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, repairing or replacing components such as elevator machines, motors, governors, controllers, door operators, fixtures, and wiring. The vendor must also maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure all work is documented and approved by the Chief Engineer.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of three years from the date of execution.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the East Moline Correctional Center located at 100 Hillcrest Road, East Moline, IL 61244.
