Hill Correctional Center Sally-Port Gate Repair (MDS)

Background
The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking bids for the replacement of the sally-port gate operators and wiring at Hill Correctional Center. The goal of this contract is to upgrade the facility's security infrastructure by ensuring the proper functioning of the sally-port gate system, which is critical for maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide all equipment, materials, tools, and labor necessary to remove and replace the existing sally-port gate system. Specific tasks include:

- Removing two existing gate operators and track;
- Replacing both the latch and forward gate post;
- Constructing a new aluminum framework gate with 6-gauge chain link;
- Installing two Hysecurity Slidedriver 15 hydraulic gate operators mounted on a custom platform three feet off the ground;
- Ensuring each operator has a built-in heater and an extreme drive system with a cogged wheel system;
- Installing solenoid deadbolt locks on each operator;
- Integrating controlled access into the new operators.

The new opening for the gate system will be 20 feet wide, subject to funding availability.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is set to end on June 30, 2025. Work must begin within ten days of contract execution unless otherwise agreed upon.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Hill Correctional Center located at 600 South Linwood Road, Galesburg, Illinois 61402.
