Hawks Care Resource Center Office Remodel

Background
The Harper College Board of Trustees is issuing a solicitation for the remodeling of the Hawks Care Resource Center Office located in Building D at Harper College, 1200 W Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL.

The goal of this contract is to furnish all necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the office remodel to enhance the facility's functionality and aesthetics.

Work Details
The work includes but is not limited to:
- Demolishing a portion of the existing ceiling system;
- Providing drywall partitions to extend existing partitions up to the roof deck;
- Installing acoustical tile ceiling systems;
- Providing new lighting;
- Relocating/extending existing sprinkler heads down to the new ceiling;
- Providing new branch ductwork to the new ceiling;
- Replacing wall base;
- Replacing radiant fin tube heating;
- Adding acoustical seals to office doors;
- Painting.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Harper College, 1200 W Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Illinois law requiring payment of prevailing wages for all contractors working on public works. They must also adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and comply with the Business Enterprise Program: Participation and Utilization Plan developed by Harper College, which includes a 30 percent participation requirement.

Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 10 percent of the aggregate Base Bid amount is required. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will also be required from the successful bidder.
