Background
The Taylorville Correctional Center, part of the Illinois Department of Corrections, is seeking bids for a contract to clean supply and return air ducts in six buildings. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper air quality and ventilation within the facility, which is essential for the health and safety of both staff and individuals in custody.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Remove existing supply and return air grills/vent covers and dampers.

2) Thoroughly clean all ducts using a negative pressure, agitation, and central collection unit; any alternative method must be approved by the Chief Engineer.

3) Use HEPA filtration for discharge air.

4) Reinstall supply and return air registers using approved security screws; if original screws are unusable, the vendor must purchase new ones.

5) Perform all work according to National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) standards.

The project involves six buildings, each approximately 13,000 square feet with about 640 feet of ductwork per building. The Chief Engineer will oversee the work and ensure compliance with standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025. Work should begin within 15 days after contract execution unless otherwise agreed upon.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Taylorville Correctional Center located at 1144 IL Route 29, Taylorville, IL 62568.
