NCCF Powerhouse Water Heater Replacement

Background
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of two existing water heaters and holding tanks at the Powerhouse located in the North Central Correctional Facility in Rockwell City, Iowa.
The project aims to enhance the facility's hot water heating system, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Demolition of existing domestic hot water heating systems, including boilers, pumps, hot water generators (tank and heat exchanger), expansion tanks, and related piping and valves.
2. Installation of new domestic hot water heating systems, including:
- New boiler and hot water generator tanks on existing skids.
- All necessary piping, valves, backflow preventers, and insulation as specified in the construction documents.
3. Maintain clearances between new installations and existing equipment as specified.
4. Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards, including installation of condensate drains for cooling equipment.
5. Provide coordination drawings for all mechanical installations to ensure accessibility for maintenance.

Period of Performance
Construction is anticipated to begin on October 1st, 2025, and is expected to be completed by December 23rd, 2025.

The work will be performed at the North Central Correctional Facility located at 313 Lanedale, Rockwell City, Iowa 50579.
